The season
Exterior washing in Nova Scotia runs roughly April through November, weather depending. We need temperatures reliably above freezing for the wash and the rinse to do their job.
- Spring: the busiest stretch. Everyone sees a winter's worth of grime at once. Book early.
- Summer: great conditions, best availability mid-week.
- Fall: ideal for gutter clean-outs (after most leaves are down) and a smart time to wash before winter locks the grime in place.
How long does a job take?
Rough guides. Your quote will be specific.
| Job | Typical time on site |
|---|---|
| House soft wash | Half a day |
| Driveway / concrete | 1–3 hours |
| Gutter clean-out | 1–2 hours |
Combining services (house + driveway is the most popular pairing) usually costs less than booking separately and gets done in one visit.
How far out are you booking?
Lead time moves with the season, typically a week or two, longer in the spring rush. Requesting a quote costs nothing and holds your place in line; you can decide when the number comes back.
Yarmouth-area jobs book individually. The Digby side and the Shelburne side run on route days, a few jobs in the same area on the same day, so travel stays off your bill. See the service area for how that works where you are.
What about rain?
- Light rain doesn't stop a wash. The solution works rain or shine, and surfaces are getting rinsed anyway.
- Heavy rain or high wind means we reschedule. Application isn't controlled enough, and that's not a corner we cut. You'll get as much notice as the forecast allows, and you go to the front of the line.
Full details, including what happens mid-job and how rescheduling works, on the weather & rescheduling policy page.
After the wash
- Surfaces are rinsed when we leave; most dry within a few hours depending on sun and wind.
